Founded in 2001 in eastern Mercer County by a group of wine-loving friends, Working Dog Winery began with just three acres of Cabernet Franc and Chardonnay. Over the years, it has grown to nearly 20 acres of estate vines known for producing a diverse range of wines thoughtfully crafted to reflect the unique soil, climate, and topography of the region.

After 23 years of passion and dedication, the founding members passed the torch to the Ludwig and Kyle families. Today, Carlee Ludwig and Sharon and Kevin Kyle lead the winery with a shared vision and deep expertise in entrepreneurship and agritourism. Together, they are ushering in an exciting new chapter for Working Dog Winery—honoring its roots while building a dynamic future.
